We spent our last couple of days in Cannon Beachto photograph sunset at Haystack Rock. Getting good sunset color continued to be a problem but we still gotsome interesting skies.  The beach wasquite populated and I was impressed how well the people that were walking downthe beach were avoiding walking in front of those that were photographing atsunset.

On the way back to Portland,we made a side trip to Silver Falls State Park to check out their waterfalls.  Northern Oregonis well known for waterfalls, especially in the Columbia Gorge region.  I haven't been a big fan of photographingwaterfalls but these were substantially larger than most in the eastern part ofthe country and I have to say I was impressed. A trip to Columbia Gorge may be in order next year.
Just because they are so adorable, I'm including one more ofthe seal pups from the Newportarea.  It was another greatexpedition.  We leave for Glacier National Park on June 13th.  Here's hoping they get the snow plowed offthe roads up there by then.
